NETSPay is a personal mobile wallet which allows you to make digital payments with your mobile phone and perform transactions such as funds transfer via a mobile number.

NETSPay is free of charge to use and is available to NETS card holders with Bank card(s) linked to their savings or current accounts. NETSPay currently supports Bank cards from DBS, POSB, OCBC and UOB.

Payment by digitized Bank card and prepaid wallet

  • Tap & Pay (Supports digitized Bank card on Android NFC handsets only)

Transfer money between NETSPay users

NETSPay is free of charge to use and is available to NETS card holders with Bank card(s) linked to their savings or current accounts.There is no charge for sending or receiving money or Ang Bao using the prepaid wallet.

You have to be at least 18 years of age based on year of birth, and where you are not at least 18 years of age based on year of birth, you have obtained the consent of your parent / legal guardian for your access, download and use of the NETSPay Application. You will require a smartphone with a Singapore registered 8-digit mobile number. You must also have a NETS Bank card from DBS, POSB, OCBC or UOB.

Simply go to either the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and type in “NETSPay”. Proceed to download.

NETSPay app works with iPhone 5s and newer models, with iOS 9 and above. For Android, NFC-enabled phones with Android6.0 and above are required.

This app is open to NETS card holders with Bank card(s) linked to their savings or current accounts.

NETSPay currently supports Bank cards from DBS, POSB, OCBC and UOB. To find out if your card is supported, please check with your issuing bank.

Yes, it applies to all mobile devices for QR code scanning. Contactless mobile payments are only supported by NFC-enabled Android phones.

Yes, provided the user has the ATM pin of the NETS bank card and is able to receive the OTP from the issuing bank during card provisioning.

Up to a maximum of 10 Bank cards can be digitized.

No. Only DBS, POSB, OCBC, UOB issued Bank cards that are linked to your savings or current account for NETS payment can be digitized.

No, for security purposes, you will be prompted to have at least one form of screen lock. (Pin/Pattern/Fingerprint). If the screen lock is disabled after NETSPay was set up, you will not be able to launch the app until screen lock is enabled again.

Yes, you can have multiple NETSPay accounts with separate mobile numbers.

Simply open the NETSPay app, select “Scan Code”, scan the NETS QR code and payment is done.

You can choose to pay by NETS QR code or Contactless Payment.

If NETSPay is your default payment app:
Simply unlock your phone, tap on the terminal and payment is done!

If NETSPay is not your default payment app:
Simply open the NETSPay app, tap your phone on the terminal and payment is done!

If you have selected NETSPay app as the default NFC payment app for your NFC-enabled Android phone, the transaction will be performed through NETSPay. Otherwise, you will have to launch your NETSPay app in order for your contactless payment transaction to be performed via NETSPay.

An internet connection is required to use NETSPay.

Yes, you can view your transaction history (last 10 transactions) on the app by selecting your bank card image, select ‘Card Details’ followed by ‘Transactions’.

For digitized Bank card transactions, you can view the 10 last transactions performed. To view more transactions, you can access your transaction history within your bank statement/internet banking.

For NETSPay Wallet, all your transactions can be viewed in transaction history.

You can remove the digitized Bank card from NETSPay. You will need at least one digitized Bank card to use NETSPay.

Simply call NETS Customer Service Hotline at (65)6274 1212. NETS will block your NETSPay wallet to prevent it from being compromised. You should also contact your bank immediately to cancel your cards digitized within the app.

The payment process requires Touch ID authentication, or password authentication, which will prevent any unauthorized payments even if you lose your phone.

No, you cannot make partial payment with both your prepaid wallet and digitized bank card for a single transaction.

Yes, you can use your NETSPay prepaid wallet to make payment outside Singapore. NETSPay can be accepted at UnionPay International acceptance points. You will have to set your prepaid wallet to be the default card to perform payment.

For overseas transaction, NETSPay applies the foreign currency exchange rates provided by our global payment network partner, UnionPay International. The transaction amount will be converted to SGD and deducted from your NETSPay prepaid wallet.

A 1% admin fee for overseas transaction also applies.

You can only make a transfer using funds loaded into your NETSPay prepaid wallet.

Yes, the payee will receive an SMS to notify him/her to install and register NETSPay to collect the Ang Bao. The payee has up to 24 hours to collect the Ang Bao, after which the Ang Bao will expire and will be returned to the sender’s prepaid wallet account.

Your ‘Send Money’ request to the payee will be rejected, and you will receive a notification that the Payee’s wallet will exceed its limit.

You will not be able to collect the Ang Bao, until you utilize (spend/transfer) an amount equal to, or greater than the Ang Bao. The Ang Bao will be returned to sender’s prepaid wallet after 24 hours, if not collected.

For example, if a payer sends a $100 Ang Bao to a Recipient who has $999 in his wallet balance, the recipient will have to reduce his balance to $899 within 24 hours, to allow for the Ang Bao to be credited.

The money will be credited to the recipient’s prepaid wallet balance, and will be available once the recipient reinstalls NETSPay.

The payee will not be able to collect the Ang Bao without NETSPay. The Ang Bao will expire after a 24 hour period, and will be returned to your prepaid wallet if it is not collected.

Yes, transactions are highly secure as it follows our existing NETS security protocols and are protected and verified through strong cryptography and chip security.

Your smartphone stays with you throughout the whole transaction process, reducing the probability of fraud or the loss of your card.

Payments cannot be made from your phone without your authorization via fingerprint or phone PIN.
