NETS FlashPay cards are sold at $12 (inclusive of $7 stored value) at convenience stores and other outlets, and $5 (with $0 stored value) on the NETS FlashPay Online Store. The cost of the card is $5 and is non-refundable.

You may obtain an immediate refund for a non-damaged NETS FlashPay Card from any DBS/POSB, OCBC or UOB ATM (select 'More Services').

For other refund cases (including damaged cards), please visit either the NETS Customer Service Centre or any TransitLink Ticket Office.

Please note that your NETS FlashPay Card is valid for use for 7 years from the date of card encoding. The card is valid for a full refund within 1 year from the date of expiry.  Subsequently, a service fee of $1 per month is deducted from the stored value. The balance (if any) will be available for refund. You may check your card’s expiry date via the NETS FlashPay Reader App (Android only), top-up receipt, or statement print receipt from NETS Self Service Stations and NETS Top-Up Machines.

To use the NETS FlashPay wallet on your Debit/Credit Card, you will have to activate the wallet at General Ticketing Machines. Upon successful activation, load your NETS FlashPay wallet and you can start to use it for your transit or retail needs.

To check if you have a NETS FlashPay wallet on your Debit/Credit Card, look out for the NETS FlashPay logo at the back of your card.

You may check and/or print the transaction history of your NETS FlashPay Card at:

  • Any DBS/POSB, OCBC or UOB ATM (up to the last 10 transactions)*

*Please note that a fee of $0.20 (GST inclusive) is chargeable for each statement print. AVM+, GTM and TUM may display only transit transactions and not the transactions from retail, ERP, carpark and top-up purchases.

Your NETS FlashPay Card can hold a maximum of $500 in stored value.

The NETS FlashPay Card is deemed non-retrievable once misplaced and there is no refund or deactivation for lost or stolen NETS FlashPay Cards.

If the NETS FlashPay Card is damaged please proceed to any TransitLink Ticket Office or NETS Customer Service Centre for a replacement card.

If you are using an Android phone, you may check the expiry date of your NETS FlashPay card on the NETS FlashPay Reader App. 

You can also find the expiry date on your top-up receipt or statement print receipt from the NETS Self Service Station and Top Up Machine.

You may print your NETS FlashPay card statement and email a copy to info@nets.com.sg with the following information:

  • Customer name (as per NRIC)
  • Contact (Mobile No.)
  • NETS FlashPay card no.
  • Transaction date
  • Carpark location
  • Mode of reimbursement (choose 1):
    • By GIRO - please provide your bank and bank account no.
    • By cheque - please provide your mailing address

You may submit the cut-up card for a deferred refund at TransitLink Ticket Office or NETS Customer Service Centre.  

If the card has been disposed of and was registered for Auto Top-Up, please visit NETS Customer Service Centre to perform a refund of the remaining stored value in your card.

This allows you to automatically top up your NETS FlashPay Card when there is insufficient stored value to make a payment transaction in Transit (MRT/Buses), ERP gantries and EPS (CEPAS-compliant) car park exits. The Auto Top-Up amount will be deducted from the registered Credit/Debit Card.

There are 2 ways to register for Auto Top-Up by Credit/Debit Card:

1. Via NETS ATU Registration Portal

This is applicable for all NETS FlashPay customers who would like to apply for the Auto Top-Up using their locally-issued Credit/Debit Card as the source of funds.

  • Register for NETS FlashPay Auto Top-Up by Credit/Debit Card via NETS ATU Registration Portal. Upon successful registration, you will receive an activation code via SMS/email within 2 days.
  • Activate NETS FlashPay Auto Top-Up on your NFC-enabled Android phone using the NETS FlashPay App OR bring your activation code and NETS FlashPay Card to any TransitLink Ticket Office to activate Auto Top-Up on your NETS FlashPay Card.

2. Via Credit/Debit Cards (issued with Auto Top-Up pre-activated)

This is dependent on the Credit/Debit Card that you have applied for. For customers who apply for the Frank Credit Card (OCBC), your Card is automatically registered and activated with the Auto Top-Up.

Only locally-issued MasterCard from DBS/POSB, OCBC, UOB, HSBC, BOC, SCB and Maybank are eligible. For VISA, only locally issued DBS/POSB, UOB, HSBC and BOC cards are eligible.

You must be at least 18 years old in order to register for Auto Top-Up by Credit/Debit Card.

You can register up to 5 NETS FlashPay Cards on a single Credit/Debit Card for Auto Top-Up.

This notification is sent during Auto Top-Up registration to authenticate the validity of your Credit/Debit Card and no monetary deduction is made.

The activation code will be sent to the mobile number that you have provided at the point of registration at NETS ATU Registration Portal/ NETS FlashPay Reader App. If you have not received your activation code after 2 days, please request for a new activation code by calling the 24-hour NETS Customer Service Hotline at 6274 1212.  A new activation code will be sent on the following day.

Your activation code is valid for 7 days from the date of issuance. The expiry date of the activation code will be stated in the email notification to you.

  1. Your NETS FlashPay Card registered for Auto Top-Up

Please re-register for the Auto Top-Up service if the Auto Top-Up activation code has expired.

1. For Auto Top-Up registration via NETS ATU Registration PortalNETS FlashPay Reader App:

  • You may choose top-up values of $30, $40 or $50.

2. For Credit/Debit Cards enabled with NETS FlashPay, with Auto Top-Up pre-activated:

  • This is dependent on the Credit/Debit Card that you have applied. Please check with your issuing bank for the Auto Top-Up amounts.

You will need to re-register for the Auto Top-Up service with your newly selected top-up amount.  

  1. De-register the Auto Top-Up on your NETS FlashPay Card at any NETS Self Service Station/ Top Up Machine or NETS Customer Service Centre.
  2. After 14 working days from the date of de-registration, please proceed to sign up for the Auto Top-Up for your NETS FlashPay Card using your new Credit/Debit Card again on our NETS ATU Registration Portal or via the NETS FlashPay Reader App (Android only).

No deposit is required for the Auto Top-Up by Credit/Debit Card Registration via NETS ATU Registration Portal.

There is no registration charge for the Auto Top-Up by Credit/Debit Card service.

The date reflected on your bank statement refers to the posting date for the Auto Top-Up transaction (usually a few days after the actual transaction date).

The delayed charging is part of the different settlement procedures with merchants, which can take up to 30 days.

The Auto Top-Up transaction will be reflected as “FlashPay Auto Top Up”.

Please note that there is an interval of 3 calendar days between the Auto Top-Ups. If your Card received an Auto Top-Up of S$30 on Monday, the next time an Auto Top-Up can be performed on your Card is on Friday of the same week. 

If you require additional top ups during the 3-day interval, you may top up your NETS FlashPay Card manually at the following top up points:

  • NETS Top-Up Machines
  • NETS Self-Service Stations
  • NETS FlashPay Reader App*
  • NETS Customer Service Centre
  • Add Value Machine Plus (AVM++)
  • General Ticketing Machines (GTMs)
  • Top Up Machine (TUM)

*A service fee may be charged by the service provider for each top up.

Your Auto Top-Up enabled NETS FlashPay Card may be blocked due to an outstanding Auto Top-Up amount on this card. You need to make payment for the outstanding amount at NETS Customer Service Centre. Upon successful payment, your card will be unblocked.  

For Co-Brand Credit/Debit Card with Auto Top-Up Facility, please note that the Credit/Debit Card may still be used even though the FlashPay function is blocked.

Please remember to de-register the Auto Top-Up on your NETS FlashPay Card at selected NETS Self Service Station/ Top Up Machine or NETS Customer Service Centre.

For NETS Self Service Stations or Top Up Machines with de-registration function available, please select “Auto Top Up” on the terminal menu, followed by “De-registration”.

From 1 April 2016, the charges are as follows:

  • For Auto Top-Up via Credit/Debit Card, a fee of $0.25 will be charged to the registered Credit/Debit Card.
  • Special amounts are applicable for special credit card tie ups that will be communicated from time-to-time.

You may de-register the Auto Top-Up at selected NETS Self Service Stations/Top Up Machines or NETS Customer Service Centre.

For NETS Self Service Stations or Top Up Machines with de-registration function available, please select “Auto Top Up” on the terminal menu, followed by “De-registration”.

There is no fee for the Auto Top-Up de-registration function.

You will need to de-register the Auto Top-Up on your NETS FlashPay Card at selected NETS Self Service Station/Top Up Machine or NETS Customer Service Centre. 

For NETS Self Service Stations or Top Up Machines with de-registration function available, please select “Auto Top Up” on the terminal menu, followed by “De-registration”.

If you do not intend to continue to use the NETS FlashPay Card, you may perform an online refund of the remaining stored value in the Card 14 working days after de-registration at any local bank ATM.

Please wait for 14 working days for the de-registration process to be completed before proceeding to sign the same NETS FlashPay card up for Auto Top-Up Facility.

  1. You may de-register or de-activate the Auto Top-Up at selected NETS Self Service Stations/ Top Up Machines or NETS Customer Service Centre.
    • You may then perform a refund of the remaining stored value in the card at any local bank ATM after 10 working days. This amount will be credited directly to your bank account; or 
    • You can obtain an immediate cash refund at TransitLink Ticket Office. This is only applicable for remaining balances of less than $ 100 per card; or

  2. You may submit your Auto Top-Up enabled card for deferred refund at the TransitLink Ticket Office or NETS Customer Service Centre. 
    • The remaining stored value and Auto Top-Up deposit (if any) will be credited to your account within 14 working days upon receipt by NETS.

Note: Please note that your card will be cut up and retained when you submit it for deferred refund. You’ll need to notify your bank should you require any replacement card or to cancel your account before submitting the card for refund.

Please notify your Bank immediately to cancel your Credit/Debit Card. 

Next, please call the 24-hour NETS Customer Service Hotline at 6274 1212 to report the loss of your Auto Top-Up enabled NETS FlashPay Card. Upon receipt of a loss report, NETS shall cancel the Auto Top-Up within 48 hours. Please note that you are still liable for any payment transactions on the card during the 48-hour period.

RSVP (Retailer Stored Value Programme) allows consumers to enjoy exclusive deals offered by participating merchants.

RSVP cards can be in the form of:

    • Merchant co-branded card: These can only be used at participant merchants.
    • Generic NETS FlashPay Card: These cards come enabled with RSVP wallets, which can be topped up for use at participating merchants (coming soon).

RSVP deals can be offered in the form of:

  • Dollar Promotions: Pay with RSVP and get a discount on merchandise.
  • Item Promotions: Purchase sets of items for a discounted price (e.g. 10 cups of coffee for the price of 8, only redeemable for coffee).

Your NETS FlashPay Card can store RSVP Dollar/Item(s) from as many as 20 different merchants. However, some Co-brand FlashPay Cards may be restricted for use by a single merchant for RSVP Issuance.

  • 6 different RSVP Items and
  • 1 RSVP Dollar promotion

You may check your RSVP balance via the NETS FlashPay Reader App (available on Google Play Store) or at the respective merchant outlet for the merchant’s RSVP balance.

No, there are 2 different stored value wallets found on your NETS FlashPay. 

The NETS FlashPay balance is a public wallet that can used to pay for your transport, ERP, EPS and retail purchases. 

The RSVP balance is a private wallet that can only be used for your purchases from a specific retail merchant.

Payment for your RSVP Dollar/Item(s) can be made at the respective merchants via NETS FlashPay, NETS, cash or Credit/Debit Card (subject to merchant acceptance).

Please note that RSVP top-up is not available for NETS FlashPay Cards with less than 3 months to expiry.

You may continue to use your remaining RSVP Dollar/Item(s) on your NETS FlashPay Card. However, you will not be able to top up additional RSVP Dollar/Item(s) after it has expired/been blocked or refunded.

Unfortunately, we are not able to transfer the remaining RSVP Dollar/Item(s) to your new card. However, NETS will process the refund of your remaining RSVP Dollar/Item(s) via a printed letter/voucher for your redemption at the specified merchant within 14 working days.  

To obtain a refund, please submit your NETS FlashPay Card with remaining balance of active RSVP dollar/item program(s) for refund at NETS Customer Service Centre or any TransitLink office.

There is no refund and replacement for a lost or stolen NETS FlashPay Card. The accompanying RSVP Dollar/Item(s) will not be replaced as well.

Yes, you can continue to enjoy the remaining RSVP Dollar/Item(s) on your NETS FlashPay Card as long as it is active.

Unfortunately, there is no refund for expired RSVP Dollar/Item(s).

Please submit your NETS FlashPay Card with remaining balance of active RSVP dollar/item program(s) for refund at the NETS Customer Service Centre or any TransitLink office. The NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App can be found on the Google Play Store.

For the NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App to read and perform transactions on the FlashPay Card, Near Field Communication (NFC) must be enabled on the mobile device. Mobile devices will also be required to run Android 4.2.2 or later.

We recommend the removal of the mobile device rear case cover (which may cause interference) before reading the FlashPay Card.

In order to perform top up transactions on the NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App, the app requires Near Field Communication (NFC) technology in the mobile phone to read and update the FlashPay card information. NFC is currently available to 3rd party apps only on certain mobile handsets running on the Android operating system.

Please refer to your mobile device hardware specifications to check if it has NFC. Alternatively, you can search in your mobile phone settings if there is an option to enable NFC.

After installation, you can launch the NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App in 2 ways:

  1. Locate the NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App icon in your mobile device and launch it. If NFC is not enabled, a prompt will appear to enable NFC. Select ‘Yes’ and your phone settings menu will launch for you to enable NFC.
  2. If your phone is NFC enabled, place the card against the back of your phone where the NFC antenna is located, the NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App will launch automatically once it reads the FlashPay Card.

The only feature that will function on non-NFC Android handsets is the “FlashPay Auto Top-Up by Credit/Debit Card Registration”.

As the position of the NFC antenna differs on different models of mobile devices, please adjust the position of the NETS FlashPay Card on the back of the phone until the card can be read by the mobile device. As mobile phone cases may interfere the reading of the FlashPay Card, it is highly recommended to remove the mobile phone case when attempting to read or top-up the NETS FlashPay Card.

The NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App only supports FlashPay Cards. Please check if your card bears the NETS FlashPay logo on the back of the card. You can also check the CAN (16 digit number printed on the back of the card), NETS FlashPay Cards begin with 1111.

Select the ‘Transaction History’ icon on the home screen after the card is read. Up to 30 transactions can be viewed in the transaction history on the NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App.

The types of transactions that can be viewed are:

  • Add Value
  • Statement Print Payment
  • ERP Payment
  • EPS Car Park Payment
  • Rail Payment
  • Bus Payment
  • VEP Payment

Select the ‘NETS FlashPay Top-Up Service’ icon in the home screen. In the Top-Up Services screen, select the ‘Auto Top-Up Registration’ icon. The App will direct you to the registration page and you will be required to enter your details. If the mobile device is NFC enabled and the card is read successfully by the mobile device, the unique 16 digit card number (CAN) will be displayed automatically in the registration page. Alternatively, please key in the 16 digit card number found at the back of the NETS FlashPay Ccard.

Yes, the app can be used for Auto Top-Up.

Please follow the steps below to activate ATU via the NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile Application:

  • Place FlashPay Card on the back of the phone with NFC turned on or launch the NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App
  • On the home screen, select ‘Top-Up Service’
  • Select “Auto Top-Up Activation”
  • Enter the 6-digit ATU activation code sent to you via SMS or email
  • Select “Activate”

Wait for the ‘ATU Activation Successful’ message to be displayed to complete the ATU activation.

This message will appear when a NETS FlashPay Card without RSVP is read. To check if your NETS FlashPay Card has RSVP, please check if the RSVP logo is on the back of your card.

You can either select from the preset top-up amounts of $30, $40 or $50 or input the amount that you would like to top-up. Please note that the maximum top-up amount per transaction is $50.

Currently, the top-up service accepts all MasterCard and Visa Cards issued in Singapore and Malaysia.

For customers who top-up using a locally issued Credit/Debit Card from DBS/POSB, OCBC and UOB, a convenience fee of $0.25 (GST inclusive) is applicable for every successful top-up transaction.

For customers who top-up using a non-locally issued Credit/Debit Card from, a convenience fee of $0.50 (GST inclusive) is applicable for every successful top-up transaction.

You can only perform up to a maximum of 3 top-up transactions per NETS FlashPay Card per day.

You can only perform up to 3 top-up transactions to any FlashPay per Credit/Debit Card.

Please do not top-up your card during a bus ride if you are using the same card to pay for the same bus ride. As part of the Distance Fares scheme implemented by LTA, you are charged the full bus fare upon tapping your FlashPay when boarding and refunding the fare from remaining unconsumed journey upon tapping out when alighting. The amount to be refunded is computed based on the last transaction performed on the FlashPay. NETS will not be liable for any refunds or claims on bus fares if the top-up transaction is performed during the bus ride. MRT entry and exit terminals are not affected by the above limitations and you can top-up during your MRT ride.

The top-up amount will be deducted from your Credit/Debit Card once the transaction you have authorized is approved by the bank. When you see a successful message appeared on the phone after authorizing the top-up amount, it means that the top-up amount has been successfully debited from Credit/Debit Card.

The top-up amount and the convenience fee will be reflected in your Credit/Debit Card Statement.

Please note that the date reflected on your bank statement refers to the posting date from the transaction (usually a few days after the actual transaction date).

If the payment page does not direct you back to the success message on the homepage, you can re-launch the NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App and tap your FlashPay Card to see if any funds have been loaded onto your card. If there is no top-up, there should not be any deductions made from your Credit/Debit Card account. You may wish to contact the issuing bank of your Credit/Debit Card to confirm.

You can re-launch the NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App and place your NETS FlashPay Card firmly against the back of your mobile device. If there are any funds that were not successfully topped up previously, the app will automatically proceed to top-up the card.

Please re-launch the NETS FlashPay Reader Mobile App and place your card firmly against the back of your mobile device to update your card. Or you may attempt to perform the top-up on another device.

If the value of your card was not updated and your Credit/Debit Card was deducted, you may contact NETS at 6274 1212 or email info@nets.com.sg to verify your transaction(s).

You will need to provide your FlashPay CAN (16 digit number printed on the back of your card), the first four and last four digits of your Credit/Debit Card (for e.g. 5569-xxxx-xxxx-1234), the top-up amount, the approximate transaction date, transaction time and your contact details such as email and contact number.
