Jaymie was a SMU student studying Information Systems when she first joined BCS, an entity of NETS Group, as an intern in IT Service Management (ITSM). With a keen interest in this field having taken a module on the topic in school, she decided to apply for the internship to learn and get hands-on experience.
Empowered to take on Opportunities
What started as a short-term opportunity became a transformative journey. From day one, Jaymie’s internship provided opportunities that allowed her to contribute and make an impact on the business. A pivotal part of her experience was the guidance of her mentor. He empowered her to work directly with the stakeholders and supported her when she needed help. When faced with unfamiliar tools, she received close guidance and support to build confidence and expertise to increase her efficiency in using the tool. With a good mentor and a supportive team, Jaymie discovered her strengths, honed new skills and confidently advanced into a full-time specialist role with BCS.
Today, she designs workflows that streamline processes and collaborates across teams to ensure seamless service delivery. In a culture built on innovation and trust, Jaymie was able to step up, take on new challenges, and thrive professionally.
Collaboration Beyond the Desk
