NETS announces Lawrence Goh, UOB’s Head of Group Technology & Operations Appointment to Board of Directors
Singapore, 26 December 2024 – Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS), Singapore’s leading payment services group, announced effective 23 December 2024, Mr Lawrence Goh, Head of Group Technology and Operations (GTO), UOB, has been appointed to its Board of Directors.
Mr Goh succeeds Mr Eddie Khoo, Senior Advisor to UOB Vietnam, as a UOB representative to the NETS board. Mr Khoo was previously the Head of Group Personal Financial Services.
As a seasoned technology leader, Mr Goh has over 30 years of international experience in spearheading large-scale transformations for businesses. He has held positions as the Head of Group Infrastructure Platform Services and Chief Operating Officer for GTO at UOB. In those positions, Mr Goh has played a pivotal role in directing and influencing the bank’s digital technological transformation. Additionally, he has been a significant contributor to enhancing service delivery and fostering customer centricity both within the organisation and in external interactions.
Currently, he leads a team of more than 7,000 staff across the region. He is also the Technology and Operations Workgroup co-chair of the MAS-ABS Cross Border Governance Steering Committee and a member of the ABS Digitalisation Standing Committee. He also sits on the Singapore Clearing House Association as UOB’s alternate director.
