Government Aims For Half Of F&B Outlets To Go Digital By 2020

NETS has embarked on a journey of digital transformation of payments to make cashless payments pervasive in Singapore. We do this by collaborating with partners in the financial ecosystem to make cashless payments simpler, faster and secured for everyone.

At NETS, we strive to offer payment options that deliver operational efficiencies and productivity to our merchants, and create a quick and easy payment experience for consumers. The simplicity of payment with QR code is such solution.

For DBS PayLah! users, they will soon be able to make QR code payments on NETS terminals at a number of merchants across various categories which include transport, retail, fashion and F&B. Some 2,000 NETS terminals will be enabled with this capability in the next 2 months and 10,000 by end of 2017.

To enable merchants to raise business productivity, NETS has also introduced the Unified POS system, which supports a comprehensive range of payment modes – NETS, NETS FlashPay, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay, UOB Mighty Pay, in addition to credit and debit cards.

The Unified POS also removes the need to conduct time-consuming training for cashiers to operate multiple terminals at their stores, and takes away the confusion on which terminal to use. With just a single terminal solution, customers can also look forward to a faster and easier payment process via a simple ‘one terminal, one interface’ experience.
