The Dairy Farm Singapore Group (DFSG) is partnering NETS and United Overseas Bank (UOB) to install 2,000 Unified POS payment terminals across the retail giant’s 650 stores this year. DFSG will implement the single terminal solution across its Cold Storage, Market Place, Jasons, Giant, 7-Eleven and Guardian Health and Beauty brands.
The strategic partnership will make this one of the largest deployments of Unified POS in Singapore, enabling a reduction of 20%-30% (or 9-11 seconds) in the time required at checkout counters. It will also improve operational productivity with savings of 106 hours a day for all DFSG’s stores.
The Unified POS system supports a comprehensive range of payment modes – NETS, NETS FlashPay, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay, UOB Mighty Pay, in addition to credit and debit cards. Customers can now look forward to a faster and easier e-payment process with the use of just a single payment terminal.
NETS' Head of Sales, Ang Sok Hong, said: “The NETS Unified POS eases the check-out process and removes the need to conduct time-consuming training for cashiers to operate multiple terminals at their stores. This single terminal solution changes the payment experience in Singapore to one that has the most direct interaction with consumers via a simple ‘one terminal, one interface’ experience.”
