Muah Chee is a popular street snack available at almost every pasar malam, and preparing it is so simple that anyone can do it at home this long weekend!

Muah Chee Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 120g peanut powder
  • 128g glutinous rice flour
  • 128g water
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions:

  1. Add glutinous rice flour, water and ½ teaspoon of sesame oil.
  2. Mix until batter is smooth and set aside.
  3. Add ½ teaspoon of sesame oil to a non-stick pan.
  4. Heat pan over medium heat and allow oil to coat pan.
  5. Add mixture to pan and fold.
  6. Fold dough until it turns into a ball.
  7. Remove dough after 4 minutes.
  8. Add sugar to peanut powder and mix well.
  9. Place dough into peanut and sugar mixture.
  10. Cut dough into bite-sized pieces with scissors and coat the muah chee pieces well.
