NETS Continuous Net Settlement
NETS Continuous Net Settlement (CNS) is a ‘hybrid system’ which employs a combination of real-time gross settlement (where transactions are settled individually), as well as bilateral and multilateral net settlement. NETS Continuous Net Settlement provides continuous settlement capability, enabling high volume settlement throughput of payment transactions under conditions of limited liquidity. In addition, its algorithms are orchestrated with configurable rules for funnelling payments to enable a large number of transactions to be settled while maintaining a minimal amount of funds in the system.
A web-based application developed using open technology, NETS Continuous Net Settlement is based on the same robust architecture upon which other the NETS products are designed and can run on commonly-available platforms such as Windows NT and UNIX.
