PromptPay-PayNow

What is PromptPay-PayNow linkage?

Customers of participating banks in Singapore and Thailand will be able to transfer funds across the two countries, using just a mobile number. The linkage of Singapore’s PayNow and Thailand’s PromptPay real-time retail payment systems is the first of its kind globally, and a key collaboration under ASEAN Payment Connectivity.

Applications

Who can use PayNow?

Individuals

Individuals can use PayNow as a local peer-to-peer funds transfer service or as an alternate cross-border remittance solution between Singapore and Thailand. Domestic retail customers can also send payments using their mobile number for goods, fees, premiums and daily entertainment expenses.

Businesses

PayNow Corporate can be used by businesses to receive payments for goods, operating expenses, bills and more just by linking their UEN issued in Singapore to their Singapore bank account. Merchants also have the option to integrate PayNow QR code with the Singapore Quick Response (SGQR) code, thereby allowing their consumers to scan a QR code to make payments.
