    The "View NETS CashCard Transactions" is an online service that allows you to view and track your NETS CashCard transactions over the past five days from the day you sign-up. You can sign up for this service via the NETS website https://cashcardservices.nets.com.sg/CIPS/bin/consumer/view-transactions-can by entering the 16-digit CAN located on the back of your NETS CashCard.

Why am I not able to view my NETS CashCard transactions that took place before the past five days?
   
NETS has enabled up to five days of transactions for viewing to ensure that consumers do not have to wait too long for the downloading and display of the transactions. We will continue to monitor the demand and take into consideration suggestions from NETS CashCard holders should there be a need to make any adjustments.

Do I need to sign-up for this service?
   
Yes, in order to shorten the processing time, signing up for this service is necessary so that we can quickly retrieve your records from our database each time you make a transaction details request.

Are there any charges to sign-up for/use this service?
   
No. It is provided to you by NETS free-of-charge.

How do I sign up for this service?
    You can sign up for this service via the NETS website at https://cashcardservices.nets.com.sg/CIPS/bin/consumer/view-transactions-can. You can then view your transaction details after 2 working days from the date of sign-up.

What type of information do I need to provide when I sign up?
   
All you need to provide is your 16-digit NETS CashCard CAN number that is found on the back of your NETS CashCard.

Where can I find my 16-digit NETS CashCard CAN number?
   
The 16-digit NETS CashCard CAN number is found on the back of your NETS CashCard, on the bottom left hand corner.

Do I need a password to access the service?

You can log in to view your transaction details after 2 working days from the date of sign-up.

NETS needs sufficient processing time to load your transactions into a separate database available for access to this service only.

How many days of NETS CashCard transactions can I view?
   
You can view up to five days of NETS CashCard transactions starting from the date of sign up for the service. For e.g., if you sign up for the View NETS CashCard Transactions service today, you can log in 2 working days later to view your Transactions. You will only be able to view the full previous five days' transactions from the sixth day onwards.

Why is there missing information in my NETS CashCard transactions when I view via the website?
   
The data displayed are only for transactions that have been submitted by the merchant. A delay in settlement by the merchant will mean the transactions will not appear on your statement until it has been settled.

I am not able to connect even though I have signed up for this service. Why is it so?
   
This could be due to:
   
  • Excessive traffic at the NETS website. There could be a large number of users logging on at the same time to use view their transactions. You may want to try again later.
  • Slow or faulty Internet connection. You may want to check your Internet connection.

I am not able to submit my request even though I have signed up for this service. Why is it so?
   
This could be due to:
   
  • Expired/refunded NETS CashCard- The NETS CashCard transactions for expired/refunded NETS CashCards will not be displayed.
  • Inactive account- If you have not login to view your transactions for a consecutive period of 3 months, your registered NETS CashCard CAN number will automatically be removed from our system for the View NETS CashCard Transactions Service. In order to view your NETS CashCard Transactions, you will be required to sign up your NETS CashCard CAN number again.

Can anyone view my NETS CashCard transactions history? Is it a security risk?
   
The system retrieves records based on the NETS CashCard CAN number that is entered when signing up for the View NETS CashCard Transactions service. If you are concerned about privacy or security, please ensure that you keep your NETS CashCard safe so that no one can obtain your NETS CashCard CAN number.

What are the other ways that I can view my NETS CashCard Transactions? You may also view your NETS CashCard Transactions via:
   
  • An ATM statement print-out available at any ATM in Singapore There will be a $0.20 charge per statement print out.
  • Self-service terminals located at carparks. There is a $0.10 - 0.20 charge per statement printed depending on the operators' charges

How come my records via the ATM or carpark statement print-outs give me a more up-to-date set of records than the online View Transactions service?
   
The smart chip of your NETS CashCard records stores your last 25 NETS CashCard transactions directly after each transactions. However, with the View NETS CashCard Transactions service, it retrieves the transactions log directly from our NETS system that is updated only when our merchants complete their settlement. If the merchants' settlement was not provided on time, your transactions statement may not show the particular transactions.

The "View NETS CashCard Transactions" service is an online service that allows you to view and track your last 25 NETS CashCard Transactions by simply inserting your NETS CashCard into the smartcard reader attached to your computer/laptop.

The smart chip of your NETS CashCard records can only store your last 25 NETS CashCard Transactions.

Simply click here http://www.nets.com.sg/consumers/cashcard_expiry.asp and select Check NETS CashCard Expiry and enter your 16-digit CAN number and the system will display your NETS CashCard expiry.

Where can I get a refund if my NETS CashCard has expired?
   
You may obtain the refund on your NETS CashCard via:
   
i.   Any Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of DBS/POSBank, OCBC and UOB.
ii.   Any bank branch of DBS/POSBank, OCBC and UOB
   
   
To do a refund at a bank counter:
   
  • Get a NETS CashCard® Refund Form from the bank teller.
  • Fill up the form legibly
  • Tear and keep the last copy of the refund form
  • Insert your NETS CashCard® and the form into the NETS CashCard® Refund Envelopes (also available from the teller)
  • Seal the envelope
  • Deposit the envelopes into the NETS CashCard® Refund Box located at the counter.
   
   
Note: NETS CashCard carries with it the risks attribute of cash. NETS and the bank will not be liable for the remaining balance in the NETS CashCard deposited with this service request. NETS will credit the balance to your account within 14 working days upon our receipt of the NETS CashCard. NETS will not held responsible for any missing NETS CashCard in the mail.

For NETS CashCard refunds to overseas addresses, NETS will not attend to any refund request less than S$15. All administration fees involved in the refund process will be charged to the cardholder's account.

The NETS CashCard Online Payment Service is an online payment platform for consumers to make payments for their online purchases at selected merchants via a NETS CashCard inserted into a PCSC smartcard reader.

How will I benefit from the use of this NETS CashCard Online Payment Service?
   
The NETS CashCard Online Payment Service is an additional mode of payment when you shop online.

As the NETS CashCard is anonymous, no registration is required.

It is a good way to pay for small value ticket goods and services instead of paying via credit or debit cards whereby you may be subjected to additional surcharge

There is no minimum amount of value that you need to store in your NETS CashCard in order to perform an online purchase transactions. As long as the value of your purchase is less than the amount in your NETS CashCard, you will be able to make your purchase online.

As like a normal NETS CashCard, the maximum amount that a NETS CashCard can store is $500.

There is no need to install any software in order to use the NETS CashCard Online Payment Service. Simply plug your PCSC smartcard reader into your computer or laptop and depending on your computer or laptop configuration, you may be required to install the driver for the smartcard reader. Whenever you are at the online merchants’ website, you can make a payment by inserting your NETS CashCard into the smartcard reader.

There is no user ID or password required in order to make an online payment using NETS CashCard.

What happens if there is insufficient fund in my NETS CashCard?
   
If the value of your purchase is more than the amount in your NETS CashCard, you will be unable to perform the purchase. You will need to Top-up your NETS CashCard in order to complete the purchase.

Can I perform an online Top-up for my NETS CashCard using my Bank Card or Credit/Debit Cards?
   
At the moment only online Top-up via Credit Cards is available.

Alternatively, you can perform a Top-up at any of the 3,000 Top-up points located island-wide:

  • ATMs of DBS/POSB, OCBC and UOB
  • AXS Stations
  • Selected Carparks
  • Selected Shell and ExxonMobil Petrol Stations

Can I cancel the transaction after making a successful payment?
   
Once a transactions has been approved and funds have been deducted from your NETS CashCard, you are not allowed to cancel your transaction.

I have performed an online Purchase Transaction, the amount has been deducted from my NETS CashCard but the merchant claimed non-receipt of my funds, what should I do?
    Please click here https://cashcardservices.nets.com.sg/CIPS/bin/consumer/pending-refund and insert your NETS CashCard into the smartcard reader to perform a check on your NETS CashCard.

If there is a transaction where funds are deducted but merchants claimed non-receipt, the information will be reflected on the screen and you will be required to complete an online application form including your bank account details so that payment will be credited into your bank account directly.

If I have lost my NETS CashCard will someone else be able to use it and make purchase transaction online? Can the NETS CashCard Online Payment System detect and deactivate my lost NETS CashCard when I report the lost?
   
Like cash, it is considered lost. It can be picked up and used by anybody.

As NETS CashCards are anonymous and needs no registration, the NETS CashCard Online Payment System is unable to detect and deactivate your lost NETS CashCard even if a report is made on its lost.

I am currently a eWallet user, is the NETS CashCard Online Payment Service using the same application? Do I need to download any application to use this new service?
   
The NETS CashCard Online Payment Service is not using the same application as the eWallet service. There is no need to download any application for this new service. All you need is a PCSC smartcard reader to be connected to your computer/laptop.

Smartcard Reader and Software Requirements

What is a PCSC smartcard reader?
   
PCSC stands for Personal Computer Smart Card compliant smartcard reader which can be attached to a computer/ laptop via a standard USB port.

It is a plug and play technology. But depending on the computer/laptop configuration, these readers require the installation of drivers that is normally packaged together with the smartcard reader at the point of purchase.

Do I need to download special software to perform an Online Top-up transaction?
   
Depending on the configuration of the consumer’s computer/laptop, there may be a need to download JAVA Runtime Environment before the consumer can make an online Top-up. The user will be prompted automatically to request for the download.

No, the current smartcard reader for your eWallet is a proprietary reader but the PCSC smartcard reader required for the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service is a PCSC compliant reader. Hence, you will not be able to use them interchangeably.

General

What is the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service all about?
    The NETS CashCard Online Top-up service enables the user to top-up NETS CashCard(s) over the Internet in the comfort of your home or office. It requires the NETS CashCard to be inserted into the PCSC smartcard reader connected to your computer/laptop. The value loaded onto the NETS CashCard is deducted from your Credit Card.

What are the other modes of payment available for the NETS CashCard Online Top-up? Can it be via debit or bank account other than credit cards?
    At this moment, the NETS CashCard Online Top-up can only be done via a Credit Card account.

How will I benefit from the use of this NETS CashCard Online Top-up service?
    The NETS CashCard Online Top-up service provides you the added convenience of being able to perform a NETS CashCard Top-up in the comfort of your home and/or office.

If you are a user of the NETS CashCard Online Payment Service, you need not worry about rushing to the nearest ATM or convenience store to Top-up your NETS CashCard when the value runs low.

How safe is it to perform a NETS CashCard Online Top-up transaction? What kinds of security measurements have been put in place to ensure that the transactions are safe and secure?
    The NETS CashCard Online Top-up service is very safe. It requires registration and activation before you can perform an online Top-up transaction. This is to ensure that you are the user of the service. The transaction is also processed through a secured gateway.

In addition, we have taken precautionary actions to ensure that the transactions are protected from hacking and free from virus.

    To ensure the security and authenticity of the Top-up service, there is a need for users to register for the service. The source of funds for the online Top-up service is from your Credit Card, it is necessary to confirm you are the user to protect the interest of the user.

Once the initial registration and activation is completed, you can then perform an online Top-up at the comfort of your home or office.

Are there any charges for the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service?
    There is a nominal convenience fee for the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service. This fee is mainly to cover the cost of transaction so that users can enjoy the convenience of the Top-up service at the comfort of their home or office. The fee will be $1 for each Top-up transaction. Currently, there is a special promotion for DBS Credit cardholders who will be charged $0.50 per Top-up transaction.

Is there any limitation to the number of times and the amount that I can Top-up online per day? What is the maximum value that I can Top-up online?
    Yes, as a security measure, you will be allowed to perform an online Top-up transaction for each registered NETS CashCard in the available options of $20, $30 and $40 once every day. Once selected, this will be the maximum amount that you can Top-up for the day.

The maximum amount that a NETS CashCard can contain is $500. You can perform an online Top-up as long as the amount after Top-up does not exceed $500 and you have not performed any online Top-up for the NETS CashCard on that day.

These are security measures which we have put in place to protect your liability in the event that the NETS CashCard(s)/Credit Card(s) is/are being misused.

What are the available options for the online Top-up value?
    The available online Top-up options are $20, $30 and $40.

In the event that you would like to change your pre-defined amount at the point of Top-up, you may select the desired amount ranging from $20 - 40.

When will the funds be deducted from my credit card account?
    The funds will be deducted from your Credit Card account after each online Top-up transaction. The time taken to deduct is dependent on how your issuing bank process the transaction.

    Simply visit our website at http://www.netscashcard.com.sg/ and complete an online registration form.

Upon successful registration, you will receive a SMS activation code on your mobile phone, upon the bank’s approval for the services. In the event that you do not receive any SMS activation code, please click here to request to resend an SMS activation code.

Thereafter, activate your account by visiting the same website. Upon successful activation, you can start to use the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service.

How will I be notified that my registration is successful?
    Upon successful registration, you will receive a SMS activation code upon the bank’s approval for the services within 2 working days.

What are the types of credit cards allowed for the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service?
    Only MasterCard and VISA Credit Cards can be registered for the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service.

How many NETS CashCard(s)/Credit Card(s) can I register for the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service?
    Each consumer can register up to 2 Credit Cards and 3 NETS CashCards can be registered to each Credit Card.

What is CVV2 in the registration form?
    "CVV2" is the last 3 digits printed in the signature space on the back of your Credit Card. It is not part of your regular Credit Card number.

What is the pre-defined Top-up amount? Can this amount be changed?
    This pre-defined Top-up amount is a stipulated amount that will be Top-up into your NETS CashCard each time you use the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service without the need for you to choose the Top-up amount each time. The options available are $20, $30 and $40.

Alternatively, you may choose to change the pre-defined Top-up amount at the point of online Top Up.

    The SMS activation code is an 8-digit code that is sent to your mobile phone upon your completion of the online registration form for the Top-up service.

How do I perform a NETS CashCard Online Top-up?
    Simply click here, insert your activated NETS CashCard into the smartcard reader attached to your computer/laptop and follow the instructions accordingly.

Can I change my Top-up amount instead of using the pre-defined Top-up amount?
    Yes, you may opt to choose the Top-up amount from the available options of $20, $30 and $40 at the point of online Top-up instead of using the pre-defined Top-up amount that you have registered.

How am I being charged for the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service?
    The Top-up fee will be charged on top of your Top-up value, i.e., if you Top-up $20 online on your NETS CashCard and the Top-up fee is $1.00, the total amount that will be deducted from your Credit Card account is $21.00.

Will I be informed of the Top-up fee for the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service prior to performing a transaction?
    Yes, you will be notified on the Top-up fee prior to confirming your online Top-up transaction.
 
6.  
Is there any difference in the charges for different Credit Cards?
    The Top-up fee is $1 per Top-up transaction. However, we will have regular tie-ups with banks and credit card companies to provide promotional rates. These promotional rates for the online Top-up transactions will be reflected on the online Top-up website.

I need to submit a claim for this Online Top-up transaction from my company. Will there be a confirmation slip provided at the end of the transaction?
    Yes, a confirmation slip will be reflected on the screen upon completion of the online Top-up transaction. You may print a copy of this slip for submission of your claims.

What if the online Top-up transaction is unsuccessful and yet my credit card gets deducted?
    Please click here and insert your NETS CashCard into the smartcard reader to perform a check on your NETS CashCard.

If there is a transaction where funds are deducted from your Credit Card account but your NETS CashCard is not being Top-up, the information will be reflected on the screen and you will be required to complete an online application form for NETS to conduct an investigation. Thereafter, NETS will contact you accordingly.

How can I verify if I have successfully performed an online Top-up for my NETS CashCard?
    At the end of your transaction, a confirmation slip will be reflected on the screen. You may print or save this confirmation slip as a reference of your purchase.

I am trying to Top-up my NETS CashCard online from my office but I am encountering problems even though I have successfully installed the smartcard reader. What happened?
    The access to the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service is dependent on the firewall and proxy server settings of individual office network. As such, we would recommend that you have direct access to your Internet Service Provider to use the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service.

The NETS CashCard Online Top-up service is a window-based application that can work on:
  • Windows Internet Explorer Version 5.5 and above
  • Firefox Version 1.5 and above

    In addition, your operating systems must be running on at least Windows 98 Second Edition and above.

    The NETS CashCard Online Top-up service is not available for MAC users.

    Can I cancel my online Top-up transaction?
        Once a transaction has been approved and funds have been deducted from your Credit Card account, you are not allowed to cancel your transaction.

        There will not be an SMS activation code sent to you to confirm your profile update.

    I have lost my Credit Card(s), I would like to terminate all my NETS CashCard(s) registered for the NETS CashCard Online Top-up service. What should I do?
        Please contact the respective bank for the termination of your Credit Card(s). Once your Credit Card(s) is/are terminated, all online Top-up transactions will not be processed.

    Thereafter, please click here and follow the instructions accordingly to deactivate your NETS CashCard(s).
