NETS and Malaysian electronic payment provider, MEPS, have linked up a cash withdrawal service for card holders in Singapore and Malaysia, who can now look forward to greater savings and convenience when they travel across the Causeway.

Targeted at a total potential market of 9.5 million visitors, this new service makes cash withdrawal more convenient for consumers in both countries as they no longer need to go through the hassle of looking for a money changer to get their currencies converted. Instead, they have ready access to a network of ATMs in Malaysia and Singapore, providing them cash in a secure and safe manner as and when required.

OCBC ATM cardholders will be able to use a growing network of more than 4,500 Automated Teller Machines (ATM) from participating banks in Malaysia to draw cash. These ATMs will be identified with a NETS ATM decal.

Similarly, RHB Bank ATM cardholders can enjoy the same here through more than 400 ATMs owned by OCBC Bank. These OCBC ATMs will carry a MEPS Bankcard logo on them.

This is expected to translate into higher visitor spending and stronger sales for merchants, helping to boost economic exchange between the two neighbouring countries.

This partnership with MEPS is part of NETS' commitment to provide greater value to customers and merchants.
