China Union Pay (CUP)

Since January 2005, NETS had tied-up with China Union Pay (CUP) to let Chinese visitors use their credit and debit cards to make purchases and withdraw cash from ATMs throughout Singapore.

This service effectively allows NETS, its merchants and shareholder banks to tap on a Chinese cardholder base from more than 165 issuers from China, who form the second largest group of International foreign visitors to Singapore.

NETS will enable CUP card holders to withdraw cash directly from the 800 ATMs operated island-wide by leading local banks OCBC and UOB, with a daily cumulative withdrawal limit of the Singapore Dollar equivalent of 5,000 RMB.

Chinese visitors can also use their card for payments at more than 7,500 terminals of merchants in Singapore which accept CUP cards that display the CUP logo.
