| What
are my benefits of storing the credit card information with
NETS? |
| You will be able to make payments via Internet
or mobile phone without having to reveal the sensitive information.
You will also be able to track your card transactions up to
the last six (6) months through My
eNETS. |
| Do
I need any special hardware? |
We recommend the following:
| - |
PC with at least a Pentium 133MHz processor or faster
|
| - |
32 MB RAM or higher |
| - |
SVGA or higher resolution monitor, 256 colours minimum
|
| - |
Modem of 28.8 kbps or higher |
| - |
Windows 9x / NT / ME / XP Operating system |
Note: Please ensure that your browser's Java & JavaScript
functions are enabled. |
| How
secure is the transmission of payment information over the internet? |
NETS adheres to strict security procedures
for the storage of information and the prevention of unauthorised
access.
Security features include:
| - |
use of VeriSign digital certificates at NETS website
to provide 128-bit encryption of your data |
| - |
one-way hashing of your PIN |
| - |
message authentication coding (MACing) of payment requests,
using triple data encryption standard (3DES) |
| - |
automatic logoff when no activity is detected from your
PC after ten (10) minutes |
| - |
GSM encryption to encrypt your messages |
| - |
re-configuration of modem to accept messages only from
delegated Gateway |
|
| How
secure is the transmission of payment information when I use
my mobile phone? |
Sensitive payment information such as your
eNETS PIN and Credit Card number are never transmitted during
a payment transaction.
All user information is also stored encrypted in a secure environment. |
| What
kind of security upgrade will eNETS be implementing? |
On 31 May 2006, eNETS will be upgrading
its system to only internet messages from:
| i) |
SSL v3 |
| ii) |
Message signed with at least 128-bit encryption. |
Currently, the eNETS system supports:
| - |
SSL v2, SSL v3 |
| - |
Message signed with at least 128-bit encryption. |
With this security upgrade, SSL v2 and encryption strength of
less than 128-bits will not be supported after 31 May 2006.
|
| Why
is eNETS implementing this security upgrade? |
| eNETS prides itself on offering the most
convenient, reliable and secure online payment for the best
purchasing experience on the Internet. We also consistently
align ourselves with leading industry standards and other requirements
as established by card brands. One such standard is the Payment
Card Industry (PCI) standard developed by Visa, MasterCard and
Amex. |
| How
will I be affected if my browser does not support SSL v3 or
128-bit encryption? |
| If you are using a browser that does not
support SSL v3 or encryption with less that 128-bit, uou will
not be able to make a payment through eNETS. Once the eNETS
system detects a request coming from a browser with a security
setting lower than that required, the system will not establish
a connection with that browser. When that happens, you will
see the standard internet error message such as “Page
not found” or “Error 404”. |
| Should
I encounter the error described in (3), how can I continue? |
To diagnose the cause of the problem, please
check your browser version. Browsers supported are:
| i) |
Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) ~ Versions
5.5 SP2 through 6.0 SP1 |
| ii) |
