NETS TIES UP WITH CHEERS & 7-11 TO LAUNCH ASSURED STORES ISLANDWIDE

Assured stores, which are strategically located, will enable NETS CashCards to be readily available and easily accessed

SINGAPORE, Tuesday, 24 October 2008 – NETS, the leading electronic payments service provider, today announced a tie up with Cheers, a subsidiary of NTUC FairPrice, and 7-11 to launch 11 “assured stores”. These stores are strategically located across the island to enable any customer to conveniently gain access to NETS CashCards.

This strategic move is part of NETS’ continuous effort to raise customer service and to better serve public needs directly. The Cheers & 7-11 “assured” stores are located at:

To get to the exact locations, members of the public can call the NETS customer service hotline at 6274 1212. Information about the list of assured stores is also available online now at www.nets.com.sg.

Commenting on its tie up with NETS, Mr Koh Kok Sin, General Manager for Cheers Holdings, said, "Through this partnership with NETS, Cheers is offering customers greater value and convenience. Cheers customers can now pay for purchases with their CashCards, and top-up their cashcards in the ATMs across these stores which is part of our network of more than 120 stores island-wide."

NETS’ Assistant Chief Executive Ms Suman Balani said: “This fresh support by and partnership with Cheers Holdings and 7-11 raises customer convenience to a much higher level, ensuring card availability to walk-in customers at anytime, any day at these locations. Our continued collaboration with our strategic distributors is part of a longer term and larger customer service vision to get closer with our customers and to enable greater usage of existing and new NETS products and services.”

In addition to these Assured Stores, NETS continues to offer its NETS CashCard at its Customer Service Center, which is located on the 2nd Floor, Central Plaza (next to Tiong Bahru Plaza), Tiong Bahru. These continue to be available from Monday to Friday from 8.30pm to 5.30pm. On Saturdays, the centre will be opened from 8.30am to 12.30pm. The center will be closed on Sunday & Public Holidays.

In addition, members of the public can call the NETS Sales & Customer Service Hotline at 6274 1212, which operates from 9am -7pm Mondays to Saturdays. On Sundays and public holidays, the hotline operates from 10am –7pm for customer service assistance. Callers after these hours will be guided through a self help menu on the phone.
