Khoo Appointed to NETS Board

Singapore's leading electronic payments provider, Network
for Electronic Transfers (Singapore) Pte Ltd (NETS),
announced that it has appointed Mr Eddie Khoo to its
Board of Directors.
Mr Khoo brings with him vast experience from the banking
and finance sector and will be a much valued addition
to the NETS Board. With the addition of Mr Khoo, the
NETS Board comprises five other seasoned bankers with
diverse specialties; they are Ms Susan Hwee (UOB) -
Chairman, NETS Board, Mrs Elsie Foh (DBS), Mr Stephen
Ingram (DBS), Mr Ching Wei Hong (OCBC) and Mr John Dahlberg
(OCBC).

20 years to become one of Asia's leading payments providers.
To continue to achieve this, we need a strong visionary
Board and a good management team. We are fortunate to
be able to tap on Mr Khoo's vast experience in consumer
banking to strengthen NETS locally and to grow overseas,"
said Ms Poh Mui Hoon, CEO of NETS.
Mr Khoo is currently the Global Head of Personal Financial
Services at United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB), a shareholder
of NETS. At UOB, he is responsible for defining business
strategies and business models for Singapore, as well
as markets such as Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and
Indonesia.
Prior to joining UOB, he was head of Sales and Distribution
at the Consumer Banking division of DBS between 2003
and 2005. He also held several positions in Citibank
Singapore from 1985 to 2003.
