NETS Offers Friendship, Freedom and Self-Expression With "MyŠ Card" Youth Programme

Singapore's leading electronic payments provider, Network for Electronic Transfers Singapore Pte Ltd (NETS), will offer the Youth market the wonders and joys of Friendship, Freedom and Self-Expression with the launch of the MyŠ Card Youth Programme.

True to its Corporate Brand Promise of "Life Made Easier", youths and the young at heart in Singapore will be charmed by a variety of exciting events organized under the MyŠ Card Youth Programme to nurture Friendship, Freedom and Self-Expression among their peers.

To kick off this launch with precisely the right tone, NETS has invited Singapore youths to its upcoming "It's My Life Dance Party" at the Youth Park @Orchard from 12 noon to 10 pm on 12th November 2005. The fun-filled day will feature among many items, dance competitions, BMX Bike performances and lots of stage games with attractive prizes to be won.

The guest of honour for the launch will be Nominated Member of Parliament Ms Eunice Olsen, a well-known role model for Singapore youths. Adding the stellar draw is Ms. Kelly Poon, a popular Singapore celebrity artist.

Besides the upbeat music and a variety of events hosted by DJs at the "It's My Life Dance Party", the highlight of the launch is the debut of the MyŠ Card for members and its unique MyŠ Card Personalisation Service at website: www.myc.com.sg. This is possibly the first time in Asia Pacific that a rich array of graphic features can be imprinted onto a CashCard and personalized by the end-user directly online.

"The Youth Programme and the complementary MyŠ Card targets, in a fun and creative manner, people between the ages of 12 and 24 years old, estimated to be about 500,000 strong. We wanted to introduce a specific programme with accompanying product that appeals to youths and those young at heart and also to share NETS' vast experience in electronic payment modes through three focus - Friendship, Freedom and Self-Expression", said Ms Suman Balani, General Manager, NETS Payment Cards & Loyalty Business.

No effort will be spared by MyŠ Card Youth Programme to channel the creative energies of youths to find new meaning in Friendship, Freedom and Self-Expression through a healthy life style, discipline in personal financial management, wide choice of youth-market oriented merchants, and an emotional bonding between the NETS brand and its membership audience.

"Currently, CashCards are primarily a motorists' card used almost exclusively for parking and ERP purposes. The launch of the Youth Programme and MyŠ Card CashCard widens the usage of CashCards beyond the boundaries of just motoring. We anticipate good support from both youths and the young at heart, especially for the MyŠ Card Personalisation Service available online," added Ms Balani.

MyŠ Card Personalisation Service at website: www.myc.com.sg In the website, the end consumer may have a photograph or graphic design of his choice imprinted onto the surface of MyŠ Card. It can then be applied with a variety of graphic features and functions such as shift left, right, up or down; or enlarge and shrink. Choose personalised messages like 'Happy Birthday' and 'Congratulations', or a selection of frames to suit special occasions such as a School Graduation. Paint Brush features can also be used to add artistic calligraphy, while a placement of stamp imprints of animals and other motifs helps embellish the card further. Not to worry, if a mistake is made, just click on 'eraser' and start again.
