2006
Launch of NETS Gift Card
in Singapore
In August 2006, NETS launched Singapore's first most-personalised
Gift Card. The NETS Gift Card can be personalised in a
multiple of ways to suit every recipient and gifting occasion
- from having the recipient's name printed on the card,
penning down your well wishes in the enclosed greeting
card - right down to determining the exact card value.
A Corporate Gift Card version is also available for companies
to recognise and acknowledge employees, partners and clients.
Launch of Combi CashCard for Quick Services
merchants in Singapore
In June 2006, NETS introduced the added contactless feature
to the CashCard. This combi feature allows for speedier
payments, especially at quick services merchant outlets
with a simple 'wave and go' technology. NETS intends to
make Combi CashCard the leading all-in-one card by enabling
it to be used seamlessly across the transit system, retail
outlets, ERP, carparks and schools.
Launch
of Funds Access Services at OCBC and MEPS ATMS in Singapore
and Malaysia
In March 2006, NETS announced the launch of a funds access
service between Singapore and Malaysia with its Malaysian
partner, Malaysian Electronic Payment System (1997) Sdn
Bhd (MEPS). Targeting a combined visitor market of about
9.5 million cardholders travelling across the Causeway
- RHB Bank in Malaysia and OCBC Bank in Singapore will
be the first two banks to start using this service. OCBC
ATM cardholders will be able to draw cash from any ATM
with the NETS ATM logo in Malaysia and vice versa for
RHB Banks ATM cardholders in Singapore. |
