Poh Mui Hoon

Mui Hoon is the CEO of NETS and the driving force behind the nationwide electronic payment system that is propelling Singapore towards a cashless society. Under Mui Hoon’s leadership, NETS is expanding with a vision to be a leading provider of quality and innovative payment and transaction processing services in Asia. Specifically NETS offers the pervasive EFTPOS (Electronic Funds Transfer At Point-of-Sale) network, state-of-the-art electronic purse – NETS CashCard and NETS FlashPay services, internet and mobile payment gateways as well as financial transaction processing services.

She was previously CEO and president of e-commerce company SESAMi Inc. and also General Manager of the Internet Commerce Group at National Computer Systems (NCS). Mui Hoon is also Chairman of Astute Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of NETS providing Prepaid, Loyalty and Terminal Management services.

Mui Hoon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore (NUS), a Postgraduate Diploma in Systems Analysis from the Institute of Systems Science, NUS and a Masters of Business Administration (Marketing and Information Systems) from Syracuse University in the United States of America.

Mui Hoon is a member also of the Young President’s Organisation, Singapore Institute of Directors and Singapore Computer Society. She also sits on the Alumni Advisory Board of the Institute of Systems Science, NUS.
