Yellow Ribbon Project (YRP) This is a community initiative in Singapore that aims to create awareness, generate acceptance and inspire community action to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-offenders into society. Started in 2004, the goals of the Yellow Ribbon Project are: • To Create Awareness of the need to give second chances to ex-offenders. • To Generate Acceptance of ex-offenders and their families in the community. • To Inspire Community Action to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-offenders. NETS Role NETS endeavors to provide ex-offenders with an opportunity to get on-the-job-training and ultimately employment within the company. This will act as a pillar of hope for inmates and ex-offenders, and serve to encourage them in their rehabilitation. In so doing, NETS will help ex-offenders get a fresh start and begin life all over again with their families.
